PURPOSE: To perform automatic peeling of raw shrimp without necessitating manpower by pushing the legs of a shrimp under a roller above a belt-conveyor and pressing the legs into a gap between a pair of peeling rolls.

CONSTITUTION: An unskinned shrimp A is supplied one by one with a supplying apparatus to a gap between pairs of peeling rolls 7a, 7b revolving in a shrimp peeling part 2. A pressing apparatus 4 for shrimp is extended between a position above the belt conveyor 21 and a position above the shrimp-peeling part 2. The pressing plate 43 of a pressing apparatus 4 pushes the legs of the shrimp A into a space under the roller 30 above the belt conveyor 2 and presses the legs into a gap between a pair of peeling rolls above the shrimp-peeling part 2.
