Title:
APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING OF CALCULUS IN BODY OF LIVING ORGANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08317931
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and improve the method for determining the position of calculus and exclude the need to interrupt the treatment of the patient even if the position of calculus is shifted during breaking, by constituting marks with a first portion which can be scanned by light beam and a second portion which can be scanned by X-ray beam. SOLUTION: The body 1 of a patient is first transmittedly irradiated by a perpendicular incident X-ray beam 2, and then by an inclined incident X-ray beam 3, thereby the position of the calculus for the following shock wave treatment is determined in the X, Y, Z coordinate. After the position is determined by the two X-ray beams 2, 3, appended position marks 8, 8' are attached to the surface of the body. These marks are formed by different materials of which e.g. the material 8 is sensitive to the incident light beam 4 illuminated by a light source 5, and the material 8' is sensitive to the incident X-ray beam. If the appended marks 8, 8' move away, a control device 6 will move the sleeping chair to enable the appended marks 8, 8' to return to the original position.
