PURPOSE: To effectively surely prevent the terminal portion of printing paper fed toward the press cylinder from being folded in the outer periphery of the press cylinder to which the paper is fed in the state of its terminal edge faced to the outer periphery, even in the cases where the rotating speed of the press cylinder of the rotary press printing machine is increased or the printing paper is thinned in thickness.

CONSTITUTION: The rotary press printing machine includes air jetting means 24 which is located adjacent to the press cylinder 12a of the rotary press printing machine and serves to place the printing paper 14 supplied to the press cylinder in contact to the outer periphery of the press cylinder at first and disposed in the vicinity of the take-up rotary press cylinder 22 in the outer peripheral surface. The air jetting means is positioned opposite to the take-up rotary press for holding the paper feeding passage just in front of the contact position of printing paper to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary press cylinder in the paper feeding passage of printing paper to be fed to the press cylinder, the terminal portion is taken up to the side of the rotary press cylinder by jetting air to the terminal ejected to the end of printing paper having been taken up on the outer peripheral surface of the press cylinder.
