PURPOSE: To make a processing apparatus suitable for processing a high viscosity material by providing an axial line of a horizontal vessel with a temp.-controllable rotating hollow shaft, which supports plural temp.-controllable stirrer elements arranged in the axial direction of the vessel, and stational baffle and scraping elements to the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: This high viscosity material treatment apparatus is constituted of the stirrer elements 1, each equipped with two spokes 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b, ring-segments 12a, 12b for connecting the external end parts thereof and 1 to 4 sheets of stirrer wings equipped with product-dragging blades 8 fitted to a rear wall. The temp. of adjusted by means of a liq. thermal carrier which is supplied, discharged via the hollow shat 4 and is circulated through the spokes and the ring-segments. Further, the stirrer element 5 closest to a product inlet 15 and the stirrer elements 18, 19 closest to a product outlet 6 are formed so as to be adapted for corresponding end parts of the vessel. Furthermore, the baffle element 3 and the scraping element 2 are fixed to the vessel, and the element 2 comprises frame-like leg parts, which intersect each other at different angles in the radial direction of the vessel and connections, which connect internal end parts of these frame-like leg parts and are disposed along the hollow shaft 4.
