Abstract:
PURPOSE: To properly and efficiently bond a binding jig to the upper edge of a booklet by stopping the booklet sent from respective belts at the accurate position of the binding jig by a stopper.
CONSTITUTION: When a booklet is sent by a belt 3 and stopped when the upper end edge of the booklet impinges against a stopper 4, a large number of adhesive filling holes and perforations for cut-off lines are provided by perforation punches 7 and perforation drilling needles 6. Thereafter, the booklet is sent to a feed belt 18 by a feed-out roll 11 and the belt 3 and impinges against the surface flapper held to a rising state by the stopper 21 of the binding jig 19 on a rising binding jig stand 20 to stop. Whereupon, the adhesive filling holes are filled with an adhesive from an adhesive supply device 22 and the booklet is sent to press rolls 27, 27 by a feed-out roll 25 and the surface flapaper of the binding jig 19 is folded to be bonded to the upper end part of the booklet under pressure by the adhesive. The booklet is subsequently fed to a hanging hole processing part C by the press rolls 27, 27.
