To obtain carbon dioxide-added water which is safe and tasty by providing a gas dissolving part for dissolving carbon dioxide into purified water from a water purifying part and a retained water discharge part for discharging residual purified water in a system and connecting the retained water discharge part with the vicinity of the purified water outlet of the water purification part and the gas dissolving part with the downstream side from the retained water discharge part.
A water purifier 1 having an active carbon packing part, a retained water discharge part 3, a constant flow rate valve 4, and a gas dissolving part 5 are connected in sequence to a drinking water channel. A carbon dioxide channel, passing from a carbon dioxide source 6 such as a carbon dioxide cylinder through a pressure reducing valve 7, is divided into two parts at a branch part 8, one is connected the part 3 through a valve 9a, and the other is connected to the part 5 through a valve 9b and a flow rate control part 10. During service, the valve 9b is opened during the passage of water, carbon dioxide controlled by the part 10 is added into water from the part 5 to supply carbon dioxide-added water to users. After service, the valve 9a is opened, and carbon dioxide is introduced from the part 3 to discharge retained water outside a system.
