To provide an apparatus for producing a gas hydrate, having an external pipeline cooling system and capable of efficiently cooling raw material water, while avoiding problems, such as blockage.
In this apparatus 100 for producing the gas hydrate, a pump 19 is positioned on a water circulating pipe 18, and water discharged from a bottom side part of a pressure vessel 10 is reused by pumping up the water to a position at which the pipe 18 is joined to a raw material water supply pipe 17. A snow and ice cooler 23 is positioned in an intermediate area of the water circulating pipe 18 as a cooling means of the external cooling system. The snow and ice cooler 23 does not freeze the water flowing in the water circulating pipe 18, nor forms the gas hydrate, so that the problem of the blockage is not caused. Therefore, the water is stably supplied.
