PURPOSE: To make it possible to produce a perforated metallic sheet which is long in life and is small in thickness by positioning ≥1 islands insensitive to deposition at the same level as the active surface of a cathode and electrodepositioning a metallic layer on this cathode, then peeling this layer.
CONSTITUTION: Recesses 6 having the shapes, number and distributions necessary for the production of the metallic sheet are formed within the active surface of the cathode 3. The materials 7 insensitive to the deposition are deposited on the surface and the excess materials 7 are removed to obtain the active surface of the cathode 3 where ≥1 islands 4 of the material 7 insensitive to the deposition exist. The metallic layer of a prescribed thickness is deposited on such cathode 3. This metallic layer is peeled, thereby the metallic sheet 1 having holes 2 arranged according to the islands 4 is obtd. As a result, the thin perforated metallic sheet 1 having the lean holes 2 having no possibility of giving rise to the formation of cracks sand fissures is obtd.
