Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a high melting metal by preventing the adhesion of a solid product to a supply pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A supply pipe 3 of TiCl4 penetrating to approximately the center of a cap 12 is made into a double-pipe structure composed of an inside pipe 32 in which the TiCl4 passes the part disposed in a reaction vessel 1 and an outside pipe 33 which is disposed coaxially via a heat insulating area on the outer peripheral side of this inside pipe 32. Alumina particles are packed in the heat insulating area. The heat flowing convectionally in the reaction vessel 1 is substantially prevented from transfering to the inside pipe 32 by the heat insulating area, and the supply of the liquid TiCl4 is made possible.
