To provide an apparatus for promoting recovery form asthenopia which promotes a recovery of depth perception and carries out a visual acuity test while achieving a low cost and size reduction.

The apparatus for promoting a recovery form asthenopia is used for promoting a recovery of a user from asthenopia and has a pair of optical systems arranged in parallel so that each corresponds to the right or left eye of the user. The apparatus further includes a depth perception training means for promoting a recovery and training of depth perception of the user by using binocular parallax, a visual acuity testing means for testing static visual acuity of the user by making the user to observe a visual target for the test, and a drive control section for switching operation between the depth perception training means and the visual acuity testing means on the basis of an indication input by the user.
