To provide an apparatus with which after the impuries separated from molten metal are floated up onto the surface, the impurities are not returned back into the molten metal with the vortex formed around a rotor shaft.
In the apparatus having the rotor (9) for treating liquid such as the molten metal in a reaction vessel (20) by supplying gas and/or granular material into the liquid passed through a hole (18) from a hollow part (16) via the rotor shaft (8), the rotor shaft (8) is extended upward after penetrating the bottom part of the reaction vessel (20) and rotatably disposed in the inside of a stator pipe (3) extended upward from the bottom part of the reaction vessel (20). The rotor shaft (8) and the stator pipe (3) are passed through an opening part (21) at the lower side of the rotor (9) and extended into a hollow part (16) of the rotor. The rotor shaft (8) is combined with the rotor (9) via a fixing device (13) in the hollow part (16) of the rotor and the stator pipe (3) is formed as the terminal end part in the hollow part (16).
