Abstract:

To prevent the frequent formation of rough and wavy fiber sliver.

In an apparatus for a sliver-forming textile machine, especially a draw frame, flat card, etc., the fiber structure (fiber web) delivered from a delivery roller of a drawing system is passed through a web-guiding member and a sliver funnel by a take-up roller, the web-guiding member has an inner wall (deflecting and/or guiding face) and the frictional resistance generated by the inner wall acts on the fiber structure. The interaction and/or the spacial location relationship between the fiber structure and the inner wall of the apparatus can be varied with a simple structure to attain excellent web-guiding member and sliver quality and adapt the web-guiding member to various technical parameters such as fiber material properties and operation speed.
