Abstract:
PURPOSE:To calculate the height of a three-dimensional shape in reduced operation quantity with high accuracy by providing the first and second frame memories, an image processing circuit and an operation circuit. CONSTITUTION:A reference surface and the object placed on said reference surface are photographed by a video camera 1 and the obtained images are stored in the first memory 33. The image of the object is stored in the second frame memory 34 and the shift quantity of the image due to the object is measured from the image data of the memories 33, 34 by an image processing circuit 35 and an operation means 40 for confirming the shape of the object on the basis of said shift quantity is provided. The data of the memories 33, 34 are inputted to the circuit 35 and image data are compared in the circuit 35 at every pixel and the means 40 detects the positional shift of the reflected beam generated by the object on the basis of the data of a data memory 39 and detects the height of the object on the basis of the shift quantity thereof to output the same to an output means 41.
