To provide an apparatus for regenerating an anion adsorbent which can economically and readily regenerate a used hydrotalcite-like compound to obtain a regenerated hydrotalcite-like compound without deteriorating its adsorptivity.
The apparatus for regenerating the anion adsorbent is provided with: a desorption unit for treating the anion-adsorbed hydrotalcite-like compound with an aqueous solution to desorb an adsorbed anion in the aqueous solution; a separation unit for separating the anion-desorbed hydrotalcite-like compound from the aqueous solution; a dissolution unit for adding the separated hydrotalcite-like compound to an inorganic acid-containing acidic aqueous solution to dissolve the separated hydrotalcite-like compound; a metal ion adjustment unit for adding a trivalent metal compound and/or a bivalent metal compound to the hydrotalcite-like compound-dissolved acidic aqueous solution and, if necessary, adjusting the molarities of a trivalent metal ion and a bivalent metal ion in the acidic aqueous solution; and a production unit for adding an aqueous solution containing a compound of an alkali metal and a compound of an alkaline-earth metal, each of which exhibits alkalinity when dissolved in an aqueous solution, except for carbonates of these metals to the resulting acidic aqueous solution to produce the regenerated hydrotalcite-like compound having adsorptivity.
