To remove long dust in crushed waste in the step of feeding the crushed waste crushed by a crusher to a sorter.
This long dust removing apparatus is provided with a take-up device 2, a collecting device 3 and a moving means for moving the take-up device 2 between a take-up position and a collecting position. The take-up device 2 is composed of a rotary disc 16 and a plurality of fingers 17 provided on the rotary disc 16 to be disposed on one straight line orthogonal to the axial line of the rotational center of the rotary disc 16 and to be protruded parallel to the axial line of the rotational center, and the rotary disc 16 is located on the upstream side of a conveyance path 1A of a belt conveyer 1 and is freely movable between the take-up position where the fingers 17 are turned downwards to face the conveyance path 1A, and the collecting position to collect the long dust taken up by the fingers 17. When the take-up device 2 is located at the take-up position, the collecting device 3 collects the long dust T in the crushed waste under being conveyed by the conveyer 1 to the side of the take-up device 3.
