To provide an apparatus for removing metal ions out of water, which can efficiently remove metal ions at low cost.

A first plate 3 and a second plate 4, which are different from each other in electrification properties, are provided alternately within a cylindrical body 2 formed of a material having high corrosion resistance such as stainless steel. The first plate 3 is formed of titanium, molybdenum, silicon, copper, nickel or the like, and the second plate 4 is formed of iron, zinc, tin, manganese or the like. Regarding the size of the first plate 3 and the second plate 4, the surface area is not less than one-fourth of the sectional area of the inner cross section of the cylindrical body 2 and not more than two-third of the sectional area of the inner cross section of the cylindrical body 2.
