PURPOSE: To obtain a furnace repairing apparatus for a converter whose fitting and removing can easily be executed in a short time, by mounting a table lifter and brick handling device rotatable around a support on a lifting table arranged as freely liftable along the support.
CONSTITUTION: The support 10 carried with a crane 11 is stood to center of the converter 1 through a furnace bottom setting base 7. Further, the lifting table 9 is set liftably along the support 10. On this lifting table 9, an expandable/ contractable working floor 25, the table lifter 26, and the brick handling device 24 rotatable around the support 10 are put. The above lifting table 9 is stopped to the prescribed position and the brick 33 is supplied on the table lifter 26 through a furnace top hoist 6 on a truck 2. After that, by cooperating the table lifter 26 and the brick handling device 24, the above brick 33 is carried to the desired position to execute lining repairing. By this method, the furnace repairing is executed with the apparatus, by which disassembling and assembling are simply executed with good workability.
