To provide an apparatus for reversing a cylindrical string, which has a simple operation and a simple structure, and also which is capable of remarkably shortening working time, and a method for the same.

This cylindrical string capable of forming a cylindrical inside space is provided as an object to be reversed. The apparatus is formed with a suction port device inserted, at least partially, into the inside of the one end opening edge of the cylindrical string and having a suction opening for sucking the other end side of the cylindrical string under such an inserted state, and further includes a deriving mechanism for deriving the cylindrical string, the inside and outside of which is tuned over after being sucked-in from the suction opening, to a prescribed position. The cylindrical string is inside and outside-turned over by the suction port device and the inside and outside-turned over cylindrical strap is easily recovered.
