To provide an apparatus for reversing hosiery having functions to prevent creases in gray during knitting of the hosiery and designed to smoothly and surely reverse the hosiery and deliver the hosiery to a toe sewing machine when the knitted hosiery is taken out of a knitting machine and completely automate the production of the hosiery.
The apparatus 1 for reversing the hosiery is composed of each element of a reversing cylinder 2 arranged in a cylinder 21 of the knitting machine 20 for taking in a knitted part of the hosiery into the interior, an actuator 3 for lifting and lowering the reversing cylinder 2, a mechanism 4 for rotating the reversing cylinder 2 synchronously with the rotation of the cylinder 21, an outer cylinder 5 for moving from a standby point onto the cylinder 21, a sucking up cylinder 6 provided in the interior of the outer cylinder 5 for lifting and lowering with an actuator 7 and an air stream generating source 8 for generating an air stream between the outer cylinder 5 and the sucking up cylinder 6. The reversing cylinder 2 is lifted to reverse the hosiery A in which the opening on the toe side is held by knitting needless 22 with the cylinder. The hosiery is simultaneously sucked up by the air stream generated with the air steam generating source 8 and the sucking up cylinder 6 is lowered until the sucking up cylinder enters the interior of the reversing cylinder 2 after completing the reversing. The reversing cylinder 2 is then lowered to deliver the hosiery A to the sucking up cylinder 6.
