PURPOSE: To retract a photographing apparatus part to a safe position by providing 1st and 2nd electromagnetic brakes preventing a turn table from rotation respectively when electricity is supplied or stopped and bringing the latter in such a condition that the turn table can be turned by applying a proper force while the brake is worked.
CONSTITUTION: In a supporting and turning apparatus 30, a turn table 32 is provided with free rotation on a base member 31 and the 1st electromagnetic brake 40 and 2nd electromagnetic brake 50 stopping turning of the turn table are furnished thereon. 1st brake prevents the turn table from turning by supplying electricity. The 2nd brake prevents the turn table from turning by stopping electricity in the electromagnet. An energized force of a spring 53 is set in such a way that the turn table can be turned if it is forcibly turned by a proper force and the position can be held if the outer force is removed. When the electric current stops, it is thereby possible that the turn table is prevented from turning by means of the 2nd brake and while the brake works, an arm, an X-ray tube and an X-ray treating part can be retracted to a safe position.
