PURPOSE: Speedy roll rearrangement is facilitated by aligning a rearrange-truck and an extract truck, so that both trucks move along a rolling line, whereby the extract-truck operates to pull out a roll-carrying housing and to put it in the rearrange-truck.

CONSTITUTION: For rearranging rolls, a rearrange-truck 6 and an extract-truck 8 are aligned in a given rolling stand. Then, a cylinder 7 mounted on the extract-truck 8 is operated to pull out an operation-side housing 2 from a solid-line position to the rearrange-truck 6 located at a two-point-dotted-line position. Next, the operation-side housing 2 is moved together with the rearrange-truck 6, then rolls 4 can be easily pulled out and centering of roll can be made easily from the operator side.
