PURPOSE: To improve the convenience of an automated culture apparatus in the case of using as a sampling apparatus, by using an automatic valve as a valve to be operated in the steam sterilization and operating the valve by a process-stepping means and a controlling means, thereby carrying out sampling operation.
CONSTITUTION: Sampling systems 6W13 for culture liquid to be sterilized with steam are provided with valves 3, 5 which are automatically operated only in the sterilization process. A steam-supplying system is furnished with a valve 4 which is automatically operated only in the steam-sterilization of said culture liquid sampling systems. A controlling means 2 outputs an operation-control signal to the valves 3W5 by the operation signal transmitted from a process- stepping means 22. The detaching of a sampling pot 13 in the sampling operation, the operation of the manual valves 8W10, 14 and the operation of the automatic valves 3W5 can be easily carried out by single operator. Accordingly, the apparatus can be conveniently handled and easily operated.
