A panel unit 3 having a water pipe with spray nozzles, or the like, is divided into four parts at the position of a carcass-moving axis Y and a center axis X of a sterilizing chamber. A carrying-in opening and a carrying- out opening are simultaneously opened by turning the panel unit 3 divided into the four parts outward by using main water pipes 12 arranged at the end part of each water pipe with the spray nozzle at the side of the center axis X of the sterilizing chamber, as rotary axes. As a result, a dressed carcass M is carried into the sterilizing chamber surrounded by the panel unit 3 from the carrying-in opening, and simultaneously, the sterilized dressed carcass M is carried out from the carrying-out opening to enable the sterilizing operation of the dressed carcass M to be carried out successively, and to enable the time required for the sterilization treatment to be shortened.
