To provide an apparatus for supplying dehumidified air that can sufficiently supply an intended area of a high temperature and a high humidity with dehumidified air from the ground to improve the ambience of the area without installing a machine such as a dehumidification unit in the intended area.
The apparatus 2 for supplying dehumidified air includes a compressor 4 for compressing a coolant, a radiator 6 that cools the compressed coolant of an elevated temperature ejected from the compressor 4 by causing the same to exchange heat with the atmospheric air forced to flow therethrough by a blower 26, an expansion valve 8 that decompresses and expands the cooled compressed coolant, and a heat absorber 10 that cools and dehumidifies the atmospheric air by causing the same to exchange heat with the coolant of a reduced temperature having been decompressed and expanded by the expansion valve 8, with a pipeline 12 connecting the components one after another in the order in a manner forming a ring. The radiator 6 is equipped with, for example, a water spray device 30 or a liquefied carbonic acid gas tank 32 as a cooling means for further cooling the compressed coolant flowing down in the radiator tubes by taking away the heat of vaporization therefrom. A blower 36 is disposed downstream of the heat absorber 10, for introducing and supplying the atmospheric air cooled and dehumidified while passing through the heat absorber 10, into an intended area.
