Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shift upward, downward, leftward and rightward an automatic cleaning apparatus sliding along the outer wall surface of a building while being held horizontally.
CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus having a machine housing 2 suspended by a vertical wire rope 1 and mounting a cleaning device thereon to automatically clean the outer wall surface of a building, the machine housing 2 is provided on the left and right ends respectively with winches 3, 3' for taking up left and right wire ropes and the tip parts 4" of the left and right wire ropes 4, 4' taken up are fixed to fittings 5 on the roof of the building obliquely above the left and right outside of the machine housing 2. The vertical wire rope 1 is provided on the lower end with a device 6 for detecting the left and right inclination of the machine housing 2 and control device is provided for rotating forward and backward at least one of the winches 3, 3' according to a detecting signal.
