To provide a coffin cooling apparatus capable of efficiently cooling a body in a coffin without using dry ice or liquified gas, and to provide a system therefor.

This apparatus includes a cooling member 12 to be brought into contact with or firmly attached to the bottom part 16 of the coffin 11 which is placed on the apparatus. Thus, the bottom part 16 of the coffin 11 is cooled by direct heat conduction from the cooling member 12, so that the body stored in the coffin 11 is cooled. It is economical since the conventionally used coffin can be used as it is.
