An apparatus 10 for assisting a collaborative work includes: a plurality of work interfaces 40 to 48 for providing a work environment for shared information to be shared in the collaborative work; a role management unit 54 for defining a role in the collaborative work and authority to the shared information for a user and managing user information; a workflow management unit 56 for defining an work content and workflow regulated from the sequence of the work content and managing a work state; and a work context management unit 52 for receiving input information from any of the work interfaces 40 to 48, associating the shared information contained in the input information with the user information provided by the role management unit 54 and the work content provided by the workflow management unit 56 and causing a collaborative work registration unit 58 to register them as collaborative work information.
