To provide an apparatus for the treatment of metal dross which keeps a simplicity in a positioning, and controls a generation of a burr-like adhered solid material.
An aluminium dross treatment apparatus 100 includes a container 1a which is formed with at least a penetrating hole 12a at its bottom part, wherein an aluminium dross 3a is kept at a melting point of aluminium or above, and a pressing head 21 which is movable up and down and pressing the aluminium dross 3a being kept in the container 1a. The pressing head 21 includes a column part 22 extending with a constant outer periphery in the direction of moving, a pressurizing surface 23a which is opposite to slit dies 12 of the container 1a, and a tapered part 23 extending gradually decreasing its outer periphery from the edge surface of the column part 22 to the pressurizing surface 23a. The column part 22 is fitted loosely into the container.
