The apparatus 30 for treating the by-product gas, which is arranged incidentally to an electrolytic water production apparatus 20 for producing electrolytic water by electrolysis and is used for treating the by-product gas to be produced together with electrolytic water when electrolysis is performed, is provided with: an electrolytic water sending pipeline 31 through which the electrolytic water produced by the electrolytic water production apparatus 20 is sent; and an air supply unit 32 for supplying air to the inside of the electrolytic water sending pipeline 31 from the outside.
