To provide an apparatus for treating an end face of a metal wire-containing glass plate, which achieves a step of end face processing of metal wire protruding ends, a step of applying a rust preventive and a drying step by oneself.

The apparatus for treating an end face of a metal wire-containing glass plate includes: a fixing means 10 to fix a glass plate P in a predetermined position; a processing means 20 composed of an end face processing part 30 and an application part 60 which move back and forth along an end face of the fixed glass plate P; and a drying means 80 to dry a glass plate end face after application, wherein in the end face processing part 30, a protruding end grinding tool 40 for grinding metal wire protruding ends on a glass plate end face is exchangeable for a protruding end bending tool 50 for bending metal wire protruding ends on a glass plate end face, and wherein the application part 60 has an applicator 70 for applying a rust preventive to an end face of a glass plate. The apparatus is configured such that end face processing and rust preventive application are sequentially carried out by the processing means 20, and after the end of rust preventive application, drying begins.
