Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus that have high efficacy to treat obstructive sleep apnea and high patient compliance.SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating obstructive sleep apnea by using negative oral pressure for a patient includes: a vacuum unit for controlling and keeping the negative oral pressure of a patient; a tube with one end thereof connecting to the vacuum unit to suck out the air in the oral cavity in order to generate the negative oral pressure; a mouthpiece connecting to the other end of the tube and matching with the contours of the upper and lower lips of the patient, the mouthpiece being fitted into the mouth of the patient and sealing the mouth of the patient in order to prevent the oral cavity from leaking the air; and a section engaging with teeth, which cooperates with the mouthpiece for holding the mandibular position of the patient.
