Abstract:

To provide an apparatus for solving the problem that the pathogenic bacteria of a patient can be mixed into wastewater discharged at any time from a dental chair unit during treatment, and the wastewater is sometimes discharged directly into an external drain pipe to cause environmental pollution.

Wastewater from the terminal discharge openings of individual dental chair units is sterilized by using acidic water generated by electrolysis. The residual acidic water, after being neutralized with alkali water, is released outside. A controller which has a sterilization tank in which the wastewater is mixed with the acidic water, a neutralization tank in which the sterilized water is mixed with alkali water, and a generator for acidic water and alkali water and controls the process by a solenoid valve, a water level signal, a pH value, etc., is installed. A tank for storing the wastewater temporarily, a direct introduction method, an overflow method, etc., are adopted.
