Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely take out defective yarn by preventing the nipped defective yarn from slipping off even if a reed retreats.
CONSTITUTION: The objective apparatus for treating weft yarn of a jet loom is composed of a device 7 for removing defective yarn, arranged in a frame 96 of the loom on the side opposite to the picking, composed of a yarn introducing means 5, having a slot 50 formed corresponding to the rocking of a weft yarn guide part formed in a reed 1 and capable of introducing defective yarn, a yarn sensor 6 for sensing the broken and introduced defective yarn and a combination of a driving roller 71 with a driven roller 73, and capable of pulling out the defective yarn and a sucking means 8 for sucking and discharging the pulled out defective yarn.
