The apparatus for turning a page is constituted by providing a pair of turning rollers 2 for pressing the stitched part 1b side and the free end edge 1c side of an objective page 1a to be turned of a pamphlet-like medium 1 from the upper side, a freely rocking guide body 3 for pressing the objective page 1a to be turned curved by rotation of the turning roller 2 arranged on the free end edge 1c side of the objective page 1a to be turned from the upper side and a pressing lever 5 connected so as to be idly rotated with a rotating shaft 4 of the turning roller 2 when an idle torque with a specified pressure or higher is loaded and rotated with the rotation of the turning roller 2 and pressing the side edge part of the stitched part 1b side of the guide body 3 and keeping the guide body 3 under an inclined posture.
