To easily and accurately turn up a knitted product made of glass fibers or the like lacking in flexibility and stretchability, and to improve productivity and yield.
A knitted product is boarded on a fixed shaft 4, and the upper side end of the knitted product is nipped and pressed between a movable shaft 10 and the shaft 4. The knitted product can be turned up double to have a free curvature on the side of the outside periphery of the shaft 10 by holding the lower side end of the knitted product with a rolling up tool 11 and rolling up the knitted product toward the shaft 10. Slack formed by rolling up the knitted fabric is pulled in to gain a good finish by stroking the knitted product turned up double on the side of the outside periphery of the shaft 10 with a stroking tool 18. Consequently, work for turning up the knitted product can be mechanized, and thereby productivity, yield, etc., can be improved.
