Abstract:
To provide an apparatus with a secondary battery discharge function preventing the memory effect of a secondary battery, alternatively, reactivating the secondary battery causing the memory effect by arranging a discharge mode for satisfactorily discharging the secondary battery in a digital camera etc.
A nickel hydride battery is used, for example, as a battery 26 for a digital camera. When the discharge mode is selected, a processing for discharging the battery 26 is started by a CPU 10, and the battery 26 is discharged until the battery voltage is reduced to a final voltage for discharging equal to or lower than a regular final voltage.
