To provide an apparatus for working the end of a pipe, which apparatus is simply configured, and can be easily manipulated, and does not cause the deformation, such as a collapse, around the worked portion, when part of an upper surface side and a lower surface side of the end portion of the pipe is cut off to leave part of both side surfaces of the end portion of the pipe intact.
A core bar 7 to be inserted into the end portion of the pipe P is inserted into the through-hole 5p of a holding member 5 so as to expose a small diameter portion 7a outside. A female blade 10 is provided on the upper surface of the small diameter portion 7a, and a male blade 11 is provided on the lower surface side. Further, the lower part of the holding member 5 is supported by a spring 4, and a male press blade 6a and a press portion 6c are provided on the punch 6 to be integrated with the lower surface of a vertically movable upper die 3. When the upper die 3 descends, first the upper surface side of the pipe P is cut off by the male press blade 6a and the female blade 10. After that, the lower surface side of the pipe P is cut off by the core bar 7 of the holding member 5 to be lowered by the pressing action of the press portion 6c.
