To provide an apparatus for working fine recessed parts, by which fine recessed parts can efficiently be formed in a short time while avoiding the non-working zone, with respect to a workpiece having non-working zone at a part on an outer circumferential surface.
This invention relates to the apparatus for forming the fine recessed parts D on the outer circumferential surface of the workpiece W by bringing a forming-roller 1 having fine projecting parts 1a on the outer circumferential part into press contact the workpiece W to rotate the workpiece W, and relatively shifting the forming-roller 1 and the workpiece W in the axial direction together with the rotation of the workpiece W to roll the forming-roller 1, wherein the fine recessed parts D can efficiently be formed in a short time while avoiding the non-working zone by providing a non-working part 1b having no fine projecting part 1a on the outer circumferential part of the forming-roller 1, in the non-working zone N as a part of the outer circumferential surface of the workpiece W.
