Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a pile provided with a water hole to prevent liquefaction phenomenon, by inserting a vertically movable pressing pipe and a hollow pipe with a water hole into a hollow screw auger and charging a drain material into the hole while drawing out the auger after excavation of ground with the auger.
CONSTITUTION: A vertically movable pressing pipe 50 and a hollow pile 10 provided with a water hole at the surface are inserted in a cylindrical auger 31 having an excavating blade at the front end and a screw 34 at the outer periphery to constitute a piling device 30. A sandy ground is excavated by the device 30 to a specified depth to form a hole 13. Gravels or crushed stones 20 are charged between the hollow pile 10 and the wall 13 of the hole while drawing out the auger 31 and the pressing pipe 50 is vertically moved by a vibrator 43 to compact the hole and form a drain layer 14. Excess pore water generated in a liquefaction phenomenon resulting from an earthquake is temporarily stored in the hollow pile 10 through the drain layer 14 and returned to the ground thereafter in order to suppress the pressure increase of the pore water in the ground and prevent the water from pouring to the ground surface. In this way, a pile preventing the liquefaction phenomenon can be easily obtained.
