PURPOSE: To transfer an adhesive sheet for ornamentation to an adherend having a curved surface or rugged parts by limiting the properties of the base material of the application tape to a specific range at the time of sticking the adhesive sheet for ornamentation having a prescribed shape by the application tape.

CONSTITUTION: This application tape 4 is constituted to peel the adhesive sheet for ornamentation which has the prescribed shape from the adherend and is superposed on a release body and to transfer this sheet onto the desired adherend. The properties of the base material of such application tape 4 are specified to 3 to 4kg/15mm width 2% modulus at the time of 0.2m/minute pulling speed and ≥50% elongation at break point. This method for transferring the adhesive sheet for ornamentation is so constituted that the application tape 4 is superposed on the tacky adhesive sheet 5 for ornamentation of the prescribed shape superposed on the release body 6 to bring the application tape 4 and the tacky adhesive sheet 5 for ornamentation into completely tight contact with each other; thereafter, the adhesive sheet 5 for ornamentation of the prescribed shape is peeled from the release body 6 and is stuck to the adherend having the curved surface or the rugged parts.
