Abstract:
To provide an application unit of constitution enabling the adjustment of a dosing gap even during operation.
An application unit is used to make a liquid or pasty medium 6 act on a moving web, especially paper and a plate, directly or indirectly. A dosing gap 4 constituted between a leading lip 2 and a trading lip 3 as a free jet nozzle and adjusting devices 20-25 constituted to make the leading lip 2 movable oppositely to both lips 2, 3 in the length direction of the application unit 1 to adjust the distance from the trading gap 3 are provided. The adjustment of the gaps can be done even during the operation of the unit 1 by the adjusting devices 20-25.
