An application piece of paper in the application letter/envelope foldable in two at a fold provided at the center of the application piece of paper consists of a left body section and a right body section with the fold at the center. The peripheral edges of three sides of at least one body section are provided with a paste margin, and an inside position in contact with a region of the paste margin is provided with a release layer of U-shape. In addition to this configuration, the application letter/envelope may be configured to fold the application piece of paper in two and to provide a release layer at a body section of a portion facing the release layer, or to further provide a release layer at a corner portion of the paste margin, or to provide at least part of the left body section and right body section with an entry space which is not provided with a release layer.
