An applicator device 1 serves for application of a liquid medium. The applicator device 1 has a reservoir 2 for the medium and an applicator 3. The applicator 3 is surrounded by a protective sleeve 5 in the reservoir 2. The protection sleeve 5 is rigidly connected with the reservoir 2. The inner diameter Is of the protective sleeve 5 is constant near the applicator tip 4 of the applicator 3 and exceeds the outer diameter Aa of the applicator 3 penetrating into the container 2. The protection sleeve 5 extends down to a bottom part 14 of the reservoir 2 and presses the bottom part 14 via a resilient sleeve part 15. As a result, the applicator device is obtained which provides for protection of the applicator tip, and is easy to fabricate.
