To enable wiping an applicator part without giving mechanical stress to the applicator part, by wiping the applicator part by surface tension effect when the applicator part passes through a wiping means to eliminate friction between the applicator and the wiping means.
A shaft part 9 and an applicator part 8 are ascended in the main body of a reservoir 1 to attach a product to the applicator part 8. The shaft part 9 passes through a compression area 13 at the position the shaft part 9 is wiped. Part of wiped-off liquid is retained in a sleeve 12 by surface tension effect. The applicator 8 attached with the product passes through the sleeve 12. When the applicator 8 leaves the lower part of the sleeve 12, a liquid bridge 140 is formed between the applicator part 8 and the sleeve 12. When the liquid bridge 140 is destructed, the excess product carried by the applicator part 8 is partly removed from the applicator 8 and a part is left in the sleeve 12.
