Title:
APRON TYPE SPECTACLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1026744
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make apron lenses freely attachable to and detachable from spectacles, and easily mountable, to make the spectacles with the apron lenses more attractive, and furthermore, to make the appearance of the spectacles similar to ordinary spectacles when apron lenses are removed.

A fitting member 5, which is capable of elastically reducing the width between front and rear shaft beams 10, 11, is fixed to the upper edge part of the spectacles 2. Engaging members 29 are fixed to the upper edge parts of the apron lenses 6 which cover lens parts 3 of the spectacles. These engaging members 29 have fit-recessed parts 32, 33 in which the shaft rods 10, 11 are fittable. The engaging members 29 are so attached as to hold the both shaft beams 10, 11 from front and back sides by elastically narrowing the shaft beams 10, 11. Thereafter, when the both shaft beams 10, 11 are elastically restored, the back and front shaft beams 10, 11 are closely fitted into the back and front fit-recessed parts 32, 33, and thus, the engaging members 29 are mounted on the fitting member 5. The engaging members 29 are removed from the fitting member 5 by elastically narrowing the interval between the shaft beams 10, 11.
