Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin aprotic electrolyte film which can be easily made thin or made to have a large area, is excellent in retention of an aprotic electolyte soln. in a wide temp. range, and has improved long-term stability and mechanical strengths by fixing an aprotic electrolyte soln. by using the solubility of a polymer formed by the graft polymn. of a monomer onto a porous polyolefin film. SOLUTION: A monomer [e.g. (meth)acrylic acid, a (meth)acrylic ester, or acrylamide (or its deriv.)] which gives a polymer soluble in a solvent of an aprotic electrolyte soln. is grafted by a plasma or radiation graft polymn. onto a porous polyolefin film having a thickness of 0.1-50μm, an average pore size of 0. 005-1 μm, a porosity of 30-95%, and a breaking strength of 200kg/cm<2> or higher. An aprotic electrolyte soln. is impregnated into the polyolefin film after the graft polymn. and is fixed, thus giving the objective thin film.
