PURPOSE: To lift a group of articles such as barstock and tubing as it is in the initially disposed state and lower it on another place, an article supporting rack, or the like by providing non-bend back chains, laid across each pair of hanging arms, getting in and out of the arms accompanied by the approach/ alienation of the arms.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of sub-frames 2 are drawn close to each other along a main frame 1 to dispose non-bend back chains 6 under both ends of a group of articles (barstock)10. Hanging arms 4 are further drawn close to each other as occasion demands to be disposed near both sides of the group of articles 10. When the whole thing is lifted in this state by a crane or the like, the group of articles 10 is lifted being supported on the non-bend back chains unbendable to load from above, approximately in the initially disposed state. The group of articles 10 thus lifted is transferred to another place or above a rack or the like, together with an article lifting device and lowered as it is entirely or almost in the initially disposed state.
