Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that aqueous adhesives prepared by adding a waterproofing agent to an emulsion having a carboxy group, e.g. acetoacetyl group are known but do not yet meet DIN/EN204 D3 standards, waterproofing standards in e.g. Europe.SOLUTION: A vinyl acetate resin emulsion which is prepared by emulsification polymerization of a vinyl acetate monomer with polyvinyl alcohol containing acetoacetylated polyvinyl alcohol as protective colloid or emulsification copolymerization of a vinyl acetate monomer with a monomer having an acetoacetyl group is blended with a metal compound.
