PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating composition that can achieve both the glossiness and the scratch resistance of a coated object.SOLUTION: An aqueous coating composition contains a base metal pigment surface-treated with a fluorine-based compound, wax, and water. The base metal pigment is scaly.
