Abstract:
To provide an aqueous coating for wood which has excellent weatherability and leaves original beauty of wood in a status as it is.
This aqueous coating for wood includes: a mixture 20 of an aqueous solution 10, in which hydroxyethyl cellulose, etc. is used as a protective colloid, and a coarse lignophenol derivative; and an acrylic emulsion 30. A styrene-modified acrylic emulsion is chosen as the acrylic emulsion 30, and coarse ligno-p-cresol is chosen as the coarse lignophenol derivative. Preferably, 1-15 wt.% of the coarse lignophenol derivative is contained.
